Days 59 to 90

Weeks 10 to Week 13

The time has come, I have finished P90X. Two words WHOO-HOO. I can't believe it's over, it kind of makes me sad. These last three weeks have been very hard, but I did it. From week 9 to week 13 was extreme, it was the hardest weeks. I always gave it my all. And plus I never missed a day of P90X. To make it even more extreme; I have kickboxing twice a week at 1 1/2 hours per session...with running to go with it. I Love kickboxing, I just love it.

Ive noticed a difference from week one to week 13. More reps, heavier weights and getting through all the video's without stopping. There are some workouts I didn't really care for like Ab ripper X. It was all good when I was finished. What can I say about it, it is very hard work. It takes a lot of dedication and lots of sweating (or should I say, DNA removal).

For all of you that want to know; YES P90X does work, it should if you are working your butt off. I think it is totally worth it I notice a difference everywhere, and plus I'm in the best shape of my life. I have never workout this much or this hard in my life. I have lost inch's, I have gained muscle, I''m stronger, more flexible, my cardio is better, and plus I can do pull ups and tons of push ups.

The start up cost is expensive, but worth it and plus it is cheaper than a gym membership. What you don't get at the gym in an amazing coach like Tony Horton. I just love the way he makes you want to do it everyday. I would love to meet him one day and hang out.

The hardest part I found was the food part. For the most part I ate pretty healthy.

I would also like to know if anyone out there is doing P90X Plus. Please let me know what you think.

Tomorrow will be the big reveal. I will have my pictures up and my new numbers. Everyone will see for themselves that it works. Let me know what you think.

For all you P90Xers out there bring it.

Days 52 to 58 week 8 and week 9

I have been really busy these last two weeks. On this week I did Yoga, Core Synergistics, Kenpo, rest core synergistics and Yoga and rest. And it was also my second rest week, coming from my last intense three weeks. And it was also the end of Phase 2. I found the core Synergistics better the second time around. So far I notice that I have more muscle definition, I also feel stronger, my balance has improved too. The rest week went really well.

Days 59 to 65 week9

The start of Phase 3, the last phase of P90X, and then five more weeks to go. From start to finish I did chest, back and ab ripperX, Plyometrics, Shoulders, arms and ab ripper X, Yoga, Legs, back and ab ripper X and Kenpo X. I also had kickboxing twice in the evenings. This week was so crazy I found this week hard too. I was really sore all week, it was pretty nuts. Was glad when it was my rest day. So far everything is going really good. And now I have four weeks to go can't wait.

Monday, March 23, 2009

Days 47 to 51

Phase 2 of P90X

On days 47 to 51 I did Yoga, Legs, Back and ab ripper X, Kenpo X and had a rest day.

Yoga was really good, I felt so good after, always do. Yoga also seems to be better, the length doesn't really brother me know. Every thing else went really great. I don't really have much to report...I finished week 7 of phase 2.

I bought some new protein powder called Isokool from Allmax Nutrition. As they say...

"It's a striking departure from the ordinary. Imagine an extremely high-quality Cold Temperature Process whey protein Kooler that tastes so good, you'll think you're drinking your favorite juice. The technology is called Flavor Bond and it has revolutionized the old notion that great protein drinks have to taste bad to be good. Flavor Bond has allowed the protein experts at Allmax Nutrition to create an easy-to-mix, delicious protein

Kooler with only 1 gram of carbs and zero fat. When you consider that you're also getting 22 g of pure whey protein in every scoop, that's truly amazing.

Isokool delivers cool, refreshing taste and is available in 3 delicious flavors Lemon Ice Tea, Green Apple and Tropical Fruit. Due to an instantization process, Isokool mixes easily in a shaker cup and doesn't require a blender. Served shaken, over ice — you've never had protein this good."

We'll see how it goes. I can tell you that I really like the taste.

Today I started week 8, the recovery week. Whoo-Hoo! This is the last week of phase 2. Today was Yoga which was really great, definitly more flexable.

Days 44 to 46

Phase 2 of P90X

Day 44 I did Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and Ab ripper X. I found this a little harder than normal, I was still a little under the weather from yesterday. I did finish it and I was glad it was over, it felt like forever. Everything was burning after I was
finished. Ab ripper X I found hard as well. But then again, it's normally hard. I still can't believe week 7 is almost over and Phase 2.

Day 45 Plyometrics is What you call "the mother of all of P90X". Today I was also feeling normal so I worked
extra hard with some extra sweat to go with it. In the evening I had kickboxing which was a little harder from doing plyo this morning. Plyo and kickboxing on the same day is pretty crazy. I love the feeling of a great burn and twice in the same day. One word...awesome. I love kickboxing.

Day 46 Back,Biceps and Ab ripper X went super. I love the Bicep workouts, I also love doing weightlifting.

I tried some new protein bars called Oh Yeah!. Protein Wafer Bars by ISS Research. It is a scrumptious Cream filled Wafer Loaded With protein. They are very good.

Days 38 to 43

Phase 2 of P90X

It's been a while since I last posted about my P90X adventure. I'm still doing it and every thing is right on track. I would like to thank all of you for reading. On day 38 I did Plyometrics; I thought it went pretty good. I feel like I can jump higher and that I have more energy. This is a really big improvement from the first day. At first I didn't really like plyo, now I kinda enjoy it. It is still pretty crazy and you do burn a lot of calories.

On day 39 I did Back, Biceps and Ab ripper X. Here's proof that p90X is working. When I started I could hardly do one chin-up. Now I can do 5 on my own...Whoo-Hoo! Iam pretty happy about that. I am still not a fan of chin-ups though. :) Although I agree that it is a really work out. I like all the bicep workouts. There is a pretty good variety which keeps things interesting. The strip-set curls where crazy and my arms were burning after that. I did some heavier weights on some of the workouts and more reps.

Day 40 was Yoga. I did the crane for a whole 10 sec. LOL! I don't know how people do that. My balance is better and I do feel more flexible. I guess you would expect to get better if you are doing it for 1 hour and 30min. As usual, the Yoga helped my body feel better. That is one thing I love about yoga.

I did Legs, Back and Ab ripper X again on day 41. The leg workouts always make my legs burn. This is a good indication that it's an effective workout. I have noticed a difference in my legs, they seem to be more toned, which is what I was going for.

Day 42 - more Chin-ups and the that crazy ab ripper X workout. Ab ripper X is pretty hard core. I now have that video memorized. LOL! I hate it but I love it. So far, Kenpo X was the best workout for the week, It went really well.

And finally, day 43, my rest day. Thank god because I was a little under the weather.
This was my 6th week. It feels like I've been doing this forever and I can't wait to see what the end has to bring. I hope
everyone is still bringing it.

Monday, March 9, 2009

Days 35 to 37

Phase 2 of P90X

During these days I did Kenpo X, Rest, Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and Ab ripper x. Kenpo was good as always, I always find that time flys when doing this one. I was pretty sore from doing legs and Back the day before, my Gluteus Maximus was pretty sore the next day so I know I worked hard. The rest week may made me like this, it felt like I was starting all over from the first week. So far I found the first week and the first week of phase 2 to be the worst. Sunday was my rest day which was nice from of a crazy week.

Yesterday was my cheat day, so I had some birthday cake for my little girls birthday. I Couldn't say no because that would be wrong. So today I worked extra hard. tomorrow I will be doing Plyo and then kickboxing in the evening. I didn't really eat the greatest today. The rest of the week will be good, food wise.

Days 30 to Day 34

Phase 2 of P90X

Sorry for not writing in a long time. I had a really bad week with unexpected family emergencies. On Wednesday I spent half the day in the ER with my daughter. Than at 2 in the morning my daughter went into respiratory distress. I had to rush her to the hospital, so I got no sleep that night. It was one of the scariest times of my life. Good thing she is doing better now. In addition to this I had to go for a medical test on Thursday and had to be sedated. So, that is the gist of my week. I hope next week will be better. On Monday, day 30, I did Plyometrics which went pretty good। Last week I didn't do it because it was my rest week. That did make a difference, it was a little harder than normal. I did finish it and didn't stop.

Tuesday night I restarted kickboxing. Plyo and kickboxing the same day was pretty nuts. when I restarted kickboxing I was not sore at all, my waist was sore from holding the tie pads. Other than that it was all good. On
Wednesday and Thursday I took as a rest day. To make it worse, I also missed kickboxing on Thursday night.:( There was no way I could
workout, I was so beet. Today, day 33, I did Yoga in the morning which felt really great. I got a really good sweat. This afternoon I did Legs, Back and Ab ripper X. It was pretty hard after not working out for 2 days in a row. I found that today Ab ripper X was pretty hard. It felt pretty good though, but I was glad when it was over. Back and legs felt pretty good; my legs where burning. So far so good. I hope next week will be better and less stress, and I get everything back on track.

I would like to know how your P90X experience is going, what you find hard about?

Sunday, March 1, 2009

Day 29 and Phase 2 of P90X

Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and Ab ripper x

Today was suppose to be my rest day, but tomorrow probably will be my day off,I have to go for a test and can't eat for 24 hours and Tuesday I will be sedated for my test. I will be what happens I might do the Yoga X instead of plyometrics tomorrow so it is not as intense and take Tuesday off. Anyway today was my First day of phase 2 of P90X which is pretty exciting and I did chest, shoulders , triceps and Ab ripper X. There was lots of new exercise which I really enjoyed some where harder than others. And yes I did the one arm push up and the clap push up. I could feel my muscles burning and working hard the whole time. Ab Ripper X was better this time around. It is was good to do something different, I do get bored easy I that would not happen with P90X. My favourite was the dumbbell Cross-body blows. I can't wait to see what the right of the week will bring.

Here is my picture's of Day 30 days of P90X

Day 25 to 28

Core Synergisitics and Yoga X

This is the end of my Phase 1 of P90X. I can't believe one month has gone by. Over all it was a pretty crazy month, I can't believe I never missed a day of P90X. Two more months to go and I'am done and I can't wait to see what my body will look like. My yoga had improved a lot, I can feel that my balance is better. I do feel stronger and I can see some more muscle definition. This is what I really wanted. Core Synergisitics was pretty crazy I was really sore for the second time around of doing it. I kinda changed my schedule around and I did the core Synergisitics first than took my rest day. I had plans that day so it wouldn't of worked out. Once I did the Yoga I felt much better and everything is all good. The month was one crazy, hardworking, sweating, intense month. It was well worth it, everyone doing P90X I wish you the best of luck and keep working
hard.

Day 23 and 24

Core Synergistics and Kenp X

Today I did the core synergistics; what can I say about it. I don't really care for it. It was a good workout, there is some
pretty crazy moves in it, that I never did before. Some of the stuff I was familiar with. It was pretty hard and there was some pretty good workouts. Now I have BANANA stuck in my head. I hope it gets better the second time. Kenpo X was good as asual, and still my favourite. My diet has been going pretty good which is high protien, good carbs, and good fat lol. and plus once a week I have my cheat day. Iam also taking Whey Pro XL here; is some info on the product, I think it is a really product

I would like to know what kind of protein you are taking and what kind of deit you are on. Good Luck to everyone doing P90X

Day 19 to Day 22

Legs & Back, Ab ripperX, Kenpo. and Yoga

Everything went pretty good for the thrid time around, I really like the legs part. I do feel stronger,my balance is better too. I did yoga today and I noticed a difference in my balance. I did a lot better in some of the moves. I still haven't mastered the crane, I do hope to do one day. I haven't lost any weight yet, but I have gained some musucle so that is good for me. That was one of my goals and to be super strong. My kicks are higher when doing the Kenpo X. I always get a second wind from doing Kenpo X every time. I love the kicking and punching It makes me feel like a machine. It is pretty fun that it has some kickboxing moves in it, that makes it better for me. I did finish my third week on Sunday, that is awesome. Week four is my so called rest week, you are still working out, just not as intense as the last three weeks. So far week one, was the worst week. After that it got much better. Iam kinda curious to see what phase two will be like I hope this week flys by. I hope someone out there can give me a heads up on phase two. good luck to everyone that is doing P90X.

Day 17 and 18

Day 17 Shoulders & Arms and Ab ripper X

I really like doing shoulders and arms, Iam thinking that I like it because of the weightlifting. This workout applys the same principles as Chest & Back work until exhaustion. Just make sure to keep proper form during this workout. Its quality over quanity. Make sure you use the proper weight. If it's too light, pause and get heavier weights. Or vice versa. This is my third time around, it felt pretty good. I did ab ripper X today I really don't like this one, it kills me every time. I'm glad that I do it every time though. It is short but very intense and worth the burn.

Day 18 Yoga X

My arms and shoulders where pretty sore once I started the yoga, they didn't feel sore until I started. Make sure you do not hold your breath, and you should remain relaxed. Make sure you do not go past your limit to avoid injury. I really enjoy doing yoga, but this yoga is pretty extreme. I personally find it a little to long. I find the first 45min to be the worst, after that it gets much better. I like the Shavasana ( corpose pose) and the Meditation pose right at the end, than you feel really good after it. My balance is now a little better to.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Day 13,14, 15 and 16

Day 13 Kenpo

Sorry for the late update, I have been really busy lately and just haven't had the time. But I did make the time for my workouts, sometimes they can be a little bit time consuming. Kenpo is a real sweaty workout, I really love this one, I look forward every week for this workout. With this workout, whenever throwing any punches or kicks, you have to be careful not to hyperextend (snap) your arms and legs. If you think that you're Bruce Lee, you could injury yourself. Try your best to stay injury free. I think I really enjoy this because there is a lot of kickboxing moves and fighting moves. When doing it you feel like a ninja and the time goes by pretty fast.

Day 14 Rest or X stretch

This day I just took the rest day, my day was so busy I didn't have time to do the X stretch. I wish I could of, it feels so good and makes it better for the next week. Today I returned the heart monitor I originally bought because it was to hard to use. I bought a better one that was way better to use and I like it a lot more. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Day 15 Chest and Back

This week is going to be really crazy for me, so it may be hard for me to find some time to exercise. So far I haven't missed a day...whoo-hoo. I had a massage this morning, boy did I feel great after than, I was much over due for one. Good thing I have a really good massage therapist, she is great. This is also the start of my week three, which is pretty exicting. The last two weeks went by pretty fast, crazy. I still can't beileve I finished all that. Chest and Back is one of the workouts I hate the most. It is all push-ups, chin-ups and pull-ups (I am not very good at it and I just don't like them). I have been doing better so that is good. This workout is as many repetitions as possible while maintaning good form through the whole workout. I am glad this workout is done for awhile.

Day 16 Plyometrics

Today is plyometrics, the mother of all workouts. I'm doing this for the third time around. I did the whole workout without stopping for the first time, it felt awesome. My calfs also felt stronger; another bounus for me. I kinda like this workout now, I didn't care for it before. Maybe because you feel better that you can do it you feel stronger. This workout is super hard and very intense. You will feel the burn baby. It will wipe you out. The key to this exercicies is to ensure proper takeoff and landing. You can achieve this by leaping off the toes and landing softly and quietly on the balls of the feet. Make sure that you have lots of cushion and think catwomen or spiderman. It's a real calorie burner, so give it your best and forget the rest.

Friday, February 13, 2009

Day 11 and 12

Day 11

Yoga, I really enjoy doing yoga, before this I was doing yoga for 30min. Now this Yoga X is one and a half hours. It is pretty long (a little to long). It does make you feel pretty good once you finish it, from a butt kick workout. My balance does need to improve. Yoga X is pretty hard but well worth it.

Day 12

Today I did legs and back which is killer, I really like this workout. My legs where burning. I love that feeling, it feels so good. the second time around was better than the first. It was much easier to walk and I wasn't sore this time. the first week is
the worst, good thing this week wasn't the same. All of these workouts are pretty hard and intense. It's a good feeling that week two is almost done even though I have many more to go.

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Day 10

Today I did arms and shoulders, one of my favorites. I felt really great after my workout, I wasn't sore at all this time. So far week two has been better than week one.

For my workout next week I would like to get some heavier dumbbells...because I feel like superwomen. I started off with 10lbs and now it's time to bump it up to 15lbs. Honestly, I do feel stronger and I also feel muscules being worked on that weren't worked on before.

Today I went and bought a heart rate monitor, Iam pretty pump to start using it. The manual for it is like a little phonebook. It's surprisingly complicated to operate. :)

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Day 8 and 9

Day 8

On day 8 I did Chest, Back and ab ripper X for the second time. I did more reps this time and felt a little stronger. I did three chin ups on my own, which I thought was pretty good. For the rest I used a chair for assistance. But I still felt like a superstar.

My abs are killing me, the ab ripper X is pretty intense. Like Tony says, I hate it but I love it. Tony really gets you into the workouts, I think that it helps a lot.

Day 9

Today I did Plyometrics the killer workout of all workouts. My calves where feeling pretty weak half way through. That's something I need to work on; to make them stronger. I didn't realize how weak they where until I started Ployometrics. I just can't get over how intense this workout is, it blows my mind. I feel really great so far, I just love the intensity. It feels great when you know that you have finished it right to the end.

Another thing that has been hard for me is my diet. I have been doing pretty good I think. I've eaten pretty healthy this last week and half. When preparing meals I try to make "real" food and to provide my family with healthy choices. It's hard to stay on a diet this healthy so I usually give myself one day a week as my cheat day (but keep it in moderation). If anyone has some really good healthy recipes to share that would be really great. I would also like to know what has been your worst struggle in the whole P90X experience.

Sunday, February 8, 2009

Day 7

I can't believe I finished week one, I feel really great for completing this week, even though I know I still have a long ways to go.

Today was my rest day. Optionally, you could do X stretch. I decided to do X stretch because I was pretty sore from a hard week and thought it might help. It turns out that it did help. I felt really great after I finished the X stretch; I would recommend it. You will feel really good after you're done. As a result a lot of my soreness was gone by this evening.

I can't wait to see what week 2 has to offer. So far Kenpo X is my favorite video.

This week I plan to get my heart monitor. I'm pretty pumped about that; can't wait.

I would like to know how everyone's week 1 went and what your favorite workout was. Now I'll see what week 2 brings me, and how I will be feeling. Good luck to everyone.

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Day 6

Today was day 6 and I did Kenpo X. It consists of a high-intensity cardio workout loaded with fun, explosive combinations to improve balance, flexibility, cooridination, stamina and confinence. With lots of kicks and punches, you will sweat like crazy. It is an awesome feeling, like you concured Mount Everest.

These 6 days where pretty intense, sweaty and crazy; i can't beleive I did this. My favoutie workout so far is Kenpo X, I loved it. I am pretty sore today still, I can't wait for that feeling to be over. At least I know I did a great job otherwise I wouldn't be like this. So far I love P90X. It will be interesting to see what I look like after the first 30 days. One thing I noticed already is that my balance is a little better when I was playing on the Wii Fit. I hope everyone is keeping up the great work. Can't wait to see what next week has to bring.

Friday, February 6, 2009

Day 5

Today I did legs,Back and Ab ripper X. I really enjoyed the leg workout. It was pretty intense, my butt and legs are a little sore. I wasn't really expecting this seeing that my legs are pretty strong to begin with. The back workout was very hard. There is a lot of pull ups and chin ups. I will admit, my back is not my strong point. Probally didn't help much that my back is still sore from Monday.

The back workout consisted of mainly chin-ups and pull-ups. For legs there were different types of squats and lunges and much more.

You will sweat like crazy in this work out. After I was done my legs felt like lead. It was hard to walk down the stairs. My ab workout was pretty hard, they feel a little weird today. I don't think I ever worked out 5 days in a row before in my life. I'm glad that I have lots of support from friends and family. I'm also glad that I started this blog. It keeps me motivated when people write comments and to hear what other people are going through.

I have some questions for people who are reading this. What kind of food are you eating? If you would like to share your recipes that would be great. Thanks again everyone for your sopport and for reading my blog.

P.S Josh how did your Yoga work out

Thursday, February 5, 2009

Day 4

Today is day 4 of my butt kicking. I did Yoga or I should say Yoga X. I have been doing Yoga on and off for three years. I thought this yoga would be a piece of cake, boy was I ever wrong. It is also very time consuming; one and half hours long. So make sure you have your yoga mat, another thing you have to buy if you don't have one. You might want to buy some yoga blocks if this is your first time doing yoga. It should assist you with the harder moves. Make sure you are well hydrated before you start, during, and after.

It may be hard but you should make sure you have some piece and quiet. I think it makes you more relaxed. I did really enjoy this, it was pretty fun. It was a lot of work but it was well worth it.

It didn't help that I was still sore from Monday. Although, I did feel really great after I was finished. I didn't feel as sore as before.

If anyone is reading this I would like to know how your yoga expereince was. It would be great to hear from you.

P.S
I'm still looking around for a heartrate monitor. I really want one but they are never really on sale.

Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Day 3

I'm still pretty sore today. Although, I thought it would have been much worse. Today I did
shoulders & Arms plus the Ab Ripper. I must say, the Ab Ripper is pretty hard but I did finish all of it...twice. I feel like a champion.

When you start P90X you should have a pretty good level of fitness. It's not for beginners. I started my fitness journey 3 years ago when I started kickboxing. The class was taught by Crystal Roy Stott and Alice Reimer. They are both really amazing people. It also gave me an opportunity to meet other great people. Since starting the kickboxing and my other fitness routines over the last 3 years I've lost a total of 40 pounds.

I've been addicted to fitness and working out ever since starting kickboxing. It's like a drug for me. I would like to thank Crystal and Alice for getting me started and for giving me there help.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

Day 2

Well Today is day 2, I woke up and I was super sore from yesterday. Today i will be doing Plyometrics aka Jump training . This was pretty nuts it was super hard I had to stop half way through and take a 5 min break. The video had over 30 explosive jumping moves. I have never done anything like this before; you will sweat like crazy. Also, you will feel the burn.

One other piece of equipment that I have to purchase soon is a heart rate monitor. It's important to make sure that your heart rate doesn't go too low or too high. Maintaining a constant and safe heartrate is essential for any health workout.

On average, the length of each video is about 1 hour long. It's a pretty big time investment. I think it will be well worth it though. I think after the 90 days is done you probably won't have to dedicate as much time. You'll actually just be in maintenance mode at that point.

Something I observed is that you must have a lot of room to move around. For example, today I had to do a lot of jumping around. It would be best to have a nice big open space to do this. It wouldn't be good to jump into a hard piece of furniture. This whole jumping routine is refered to as Plyometrics. I've never heard this term before getting P90X.

I'll sign off by sayingTony Horton is pretty awesome. I wish I had that guys energy.

Day 1

Feb 2 2009: This is my first day of P90X the classic version, phase 1. Day 1 was chest & back and Ab Ripper. It was very intense and lots of work, it was pretty crazy. You will have to drink a ton of water. I have never worked out like this before you will feel the burn. I did my best and finished the whole video and felt really good.
One thing I want to add about p90x is the first start up is expensive, you have to buy the videos, chip up bar and weights if you don't have. And you have to been in decent shape to start it is pretty intense.
This is my first blog, it's going to be about my P90X experience. I started my first day on Sunday Feb. 1/2009, with the fitness test and I passed with flying colors. This is what it consists of and my results prior to day 1, this is the maximum numbers to failure:

Pull ups 1
Vertical Leap 2.5 inch's
Push-Ups 20
Toe Touch +5inches
Wall Squats 2.05 Min's
Bicep Curls 20 with 10lbs
In and Outs 99

And here is my body measurements prior to day 1:

Weight 127
Chest 33
Waist 29
Hips 37
Right Thigh and Left Thigh 23
Right Arm 11.5
Left Arm 11

Now you can follow me on my adventure. My goal is to gain more muscle and be more toned. Before this I was doing Billy Blanks and Jillian Micheal's workouts; which are very good and I would recommend them to get into shape. I wanted something more, to have more muscle and
to be ripped. Plus, I love to workout. Lets BRING IT!
